Mike Cooper

began his career with KAYS on December 1, 1967. He was originally hired as Program Director, a title he's held since his career began in Hays. A few short months after his hiring, Cooper began the morning shift and has done so ever since.  Though he has never sought recognition, he has been recognized by the Kansas Association of Broadcasters for his contributions. He was awarded the 2005 Hall of Fame Award by the Hays Area Chamber of Commerce and the 2007 Hall of Fame Award from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters.  Mike has been with us through news, weather, closings, parades, services, and more.  Mike is truly
